To-day the definition of Fascism would seem unfamiliar to the those who dedicated their lives to the Fascist cause, If as is widely assumed [and taught in schools] to-day Fascism was belief in Dictatorship, subservience to the state, cult of war and racial superiority this may go to explain the prominence of Fascism among the young democracies of recently imperial continental Europe but it gives no reason for the popularity of fascism in Britain and the commonwealth and the rest of the ‘free’ world

Seahorses anda Dead JournalistI was reading an essay by Hilaire Belloc published shy on a hundred years ago and a though struck me, a thought so power and terrifying that i felt a sudden need to express it. The man was writing about a visit to an Aquarium and the surprise at the exactness of the seahorse to the horse and the turbot to the sand it lives while making an argument against evolution.
